BACKGROUND
The BMW Group, of New York City, was conceived and planned in 1990, and opened its doors for business in January 1991. The three partners Alan Burke, Michael Mantel and Ronald Weiss, having worked together at a previous recruiting firm for several years, made a commitment to professionally meet the needs of their clients and improve the art of recruiting and placement. The original offices were in midtown Manhattan but relocated downtown to the Wall Street area in 1993.
The internal environment is completely open to facilitate total communication. Every Recruiter is highly trained and experienced in all aspects of Headhunting. The vast amount of information needed for a successful placement firm is managed by a comprehensive Microsoft based technology platform. Email and the Web are utilized extensively for document transmission and research. The telephone is still the primary form of contact, not surprising in a profession where the individual is the center of attention. Research, a vital component of a modern recruiting function, is accomplished internally.
